MedPeace Policies
Financial Responsibility
Patients are responsible for all charges associated with their care, including copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, noncovered services, and balances not paid by insurance.
Payment is due at the time services are provided unless another arrangement has been made with MedPeace.
Insurance Coverage
Patients are responsible for understanding their insurance coverage, including benefits, exclusions, limitations, referrals, and prior-authorization requirements.
MedPeace may verify insurance coverage as a courtesy. However, verification is not a guarantee of payment.
If coverage is inactive or a claim is denied, the patient is responsible for the balance.
Please notify MedPeace promptly of any changes to insurance coverage, contact information, pharmacy, or other relevant information.
Self-Pay Patients
Patients without valid insurance information at the time of service are considered self-pay patients.
Payment is required at the time of the visit.
Patients who have insurance but cannot provide current information may be required to pay at the time of service until coverage is verified.
Noncovered Services
Patients are responsible for payment if an insurance plan denies or reduces payment because a service is considered noncovered, not medically necessary, outside plan benefits, or subject to an unmet deductible, coinsurance, or other plan limitation.
Patients are encouraged to contact their insurance carrier before their appointment to confirm coverage.
Cancellation, Late Arrival, and No-Show Policy
Appointment times are reserved specifically for each patient. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.
A $50 no-call, no-show fee may be charged when a patient misses a scheduled appointment without notice, fails to cancel or reschedule before the appointment time, or arrives too late to be seen.
This fee is the patient’s responsibility and is not covered by insurance.
Repeated missed appointments, late cancellations, or unpaid fees may affect a patient’s ability to schedule future appointments.
Exceptions may be considered for emergencies or unforeseen circumstances.
Refund Policy
Payments for completed office visits, telehealth appointments, home visits, memberships, administrative services, forms, letters, and other services provided by MedPeace are nonrefundable.
