Your blood sugar may be trying to tell you something. Are you listening?
Do you have prediabetes and want to improve your blood sugar? I have some encouraging news! Prediabetes does not mean type 2 diabetes is inevitable. For some people, sustainable lifestyle changes and appropriate treatment can bring blood sugar back into the normal range.
Think of prediabetes as your body's "check engine" light — a reason to take action, not panic.
And no, taking action does not require surviving on lettuce or training for the Olympics. Healthier food choices, regular movement, and modest weight loss when appropriate can help reduce your risk. Your sneakers do not need to be expensive. They just need to leave the closet occasionally!

Checked a Few Boxes? Here's What You Should Know!
First, don't panic! Checking a box does not mean you have prediabetes or diabetes. Some of these items are risk factors, while others may indicate elevated blood sugar or other medical conditions.
The classic three Ps, polydipsia (excessive thirst), polyuria (frequent urination), and polyphagia (excessive hunger), are more commonly associated with diabetes than prediabetes. If you're experiencing these symptoms, especially with unusual fatigue, arrange a prompt medical evaluation.
Remember, you can have prediabetes without experiencing any symptoms at all. That's why routine screening is so important.
